The Audi S8 is already quite powerful beast with 520 twin-turbocharged horses engine from its 4.0-liter V-8, but the mad scientists at German tuning shop MTM are never satisfied. Hence the roadgoing rocket you see here: a beefed-up and boosted S8 that punishes the pavement with a full 750 horsepower and nearly 700 lb-ft of torque. The tuning masted improved the feat of strength via its time-honored method of cranking up the turbo boost to insane levels. Based on the same engine that appears in the tuner’s bonkers orange-and-gray RS6 Avant, this S8 features with double turbos, but also a modified exhaust with sound-enhancing flaps and a bolstered cooling system to look after all those ponies. A revised ECU raises the eight-speed automatic transmission’s shift points to 7000 rpm and lets the car unreel its thrust all the way up to 202 mph.
It may sound unbelievable but the Audi S8 Talladega is electronically limited. It can reach a speed of around 202 mph. MTM has stated that the S8 can reach a velocity of around 217 mph. The Talladega is using the 295 width tires that are fitted on a 21 inch wheels. As it stands, the wheels have to do a lot to transfer all that power to the S8’s Quattro all-wheel drive.
The Audi S8 Talladega development of MTM can accelerate to 100 km/h within just 3.1 seconds. It will pass the 200 km/h mark under 9.9 seconds and break the 300 km/h barrier in less than 29 seconds. If you think that was top speed then wait till you remove the speed limiters. Once removed, the MTM S8 Tallageda can reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
